Allyson Demski is an Art Educator and working artist, and teaches Photography 1, AP Photography and Studio in Art at the high school level. She is passionate about bringing art and technology to her students and the community.
As an artist, Allyson concentrates on themes such as memory, reflection, nostalgia and the rights of others. Allyson works in many different media such as collage and mixed media, video, photography, printmaking, embroidery, jewelry design, and graphic arts.
With a passion and background in marketing, she enjoys creating goods such as jewelry and home goods to sell at local markets as well. She loves networking and meeting other makers in the area.
Allyson Demski was born in Syracuse, New York. She attended SUNY Fredonia for her Undergraduate work and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications concentrating in TV & Digital Film, and a Bachelor of Art degree concentrating in Visual Art & New Media.
She moved to Buffalo in 2014 where she began a career in digital marketing.
In 2018 she was accepted into the Post-Baccalaureate program at Buffalo State for Art Education. In 2020, she was accepted into the Masters of Science in Education concentrating on Art Education at Buffalo State and completed her Masters Degree in 2022.
After completing her education programs, Allyson began her teaching career in 2020 as an elementary art teacher in Niagara Falls, New York, and as a high school art teacher in 2021.
